PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Atlanta Braves have activated outfielder B.J. Upton from the 15-day disabled list and put catcher Gerald Laird on the DL.

The NL East leaders made the moves Saturday before playing Philadelphia.

Upton strained his right adductor muscle on July 12. He is hitting .177 with eight homers and 20 RBIs.

Laird had a kidney stone removed Wednesday. He’s batting .293 with a homer and 11 RBIs in 28 games.
