ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) — Pro Bowl safety LaRon Landry is likely to sit out Sunday’s game against the New York Giants because of a knee injury.

He has missed more than a week of practice, and Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Thursday he won’t rush Landry back for a preseason game — if he can’t practice Thursday or Friday. Pagano still expects Landry to be ready for the season-opener against Oakland.

Pagano also said linebacker Pat Angerer (right foot) and running back Ahmad Bradshaw (right foot) would not play despite being activated from the physically unable to perform list earlier this week. Though the rest of the injury list is still being compiled, rookie offensive linemen Khaled Holmes (right ankle) and Hugh Thornton (right ankle) are not expected to play.
