Letter: Stewart applies common sense

The Columbian
Published: August 31, 2013, 5:00pm

While serving on the Vancouver Planning Commission, I had the opportunity to work with Jeanne Stewart, candidate for Vancouver City Council, Position 2. Stewart was always prepared, informed and completely unbiased to all petitions, zoning structure or the need of the community.

Stewart was never obligated to individuals or groups of special interest. Most candidates now running for office carry with them a pocket full of obligations from election funding. Stewart has a dedication only to the residents and welfare of Vancouver.

We need city councilors willing to make decisions in tune with our growth, tax structure and common sense. Stewart will have my vote, for one reason: we need her.
