Pedestrian killed on I-5 in south Seattle

SEATTLE — The Washington State Patrol says a man on foot was struck and killed in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 about 5 a.m. Monday near Tukwila.

The man died at the scene.

KOMO Radio reports the man was struck by a taxi that could not stop in time or swerve out of the way. The man did not carry identification and authorities hope to identify him through fingerprints.
