A manufactured home behind a Camas residence was damaged in a fire Monday night.

Crews from East County Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the fire, 1509 N.E. 242nd Ave., at 10:47 p.m.

Firefighters arrived within eight minutes to find smoke and flames, then quickly knocked down the blaze, East County Fire Chief Scott Koehler said.

The home was unoccupied but did contain some contents including some Christmas presents, Koehler said. The nearby residence and a barn were not damaged, he said.

Firefighters from Vancouver Fire Department and Camas-Washougal Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The amount of damage and the cause of the fire is being determined by the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office.
