Petty Fever recognized as standout tribute act

Hollywood — Vancouver musician Frank Murray’s Tom Petty tribute band was recognized at the Los Angeles Music Awards last month. The annual event is meant to help with promotion and provide exposure for unsigned and independent musical acts. Petty Fever won for “Tribute Band of the Year.” The awards ceremony was held Nov. 14 at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood. The band also includes Tim Baltus on guitar, Jack Codron on keyboards, Steve Kuepker on bass and Craig Ostbo on drums.
