They say, “Don’t work with children or animals,” but the Rev. John Bishop does both.

Dec. 17 through 20, Bishop and his Living Hope Church will once again host Curly the Camel and Danny the Donkey for their fifth annual Living Nativity production.

The Living Nativity tells the story of Christmas with live music, drama, real babies and real animals. Bishop leads a 45-minute program; there’s also a petting zoo, marketplace and pre-show entertainment for kids.

Four performances are planned for the Living Nativity; they’re all at 7 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday, Dec. 17 through 20. Plus, Curly will appear at a roadside petting zoo every afternoon of the performance, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Living Hope Church is at 2711 N.E. Andresen Road. Call 360-944-3905 or visit livinghopechurch.com to learn more.
