Girls basketball: Battle Ground 58, Hockinson 45

Jossilyn Blackman scored 20 points and Alena Jarvis added 18, leading the Tigers to victory.

Battle Ground led by three at the half, then pulled away from the Class 2A Hawks.

The Tigers were 13 of 17 from the line.

Katelyn McGuire led the Hawks with 11 points. She also was a force on defense with six blocked shots and nine rebounds.

Sydney Cole added 10 points, five assists, and five steals for the Hawks.
