ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — David Robertson and Andrew Rowsey both scored 14 points and UNC Asheville defeated Montreat 80-41 on Tuesday for its fifth consecutive victory.

Corey Littlejohn added 12 points for the Bulldogs (6-7). UNC Asheville had a season-high 13 blocks, including six by D.J. Cunningham.

The game counted as an exhibition for the NAIA Cavaliers. La’Bris Adams, who came in shooting 58 percent for Montreat, made only 5 of 19 shots but still was the only Cavaliers player in double figures with 19 points. The Cavaliers, the top-shooting 3-point team in the NAIA at 50.4 percent prior to Tuesday’s game, made just 4 of 20 from long range for 20 percent.

Littlejohn scored all 12 of his points during a 26-4 run in the first half that gave UNC Asheville a 34-14 lead with 8:20 left in the half.

Montreat had 20 turnovers that the Bulldogs turned into 23 points.
