College of Charleston beats Davidson 76-64

DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) — Willis Hall hit career highs with 26 points and 21 rebounds to lead College of Charleston to a 76-64 victory over Davidson on Wednesday.

Hall, with his eighth career double-double, is the first Cougar to record at 20/20 performance in Division I.

The Cougars (7-7) shot a season-best 60.5 percent. Anthony Thomas and Nori Johnson both scored 11 points. Anthony Stitt had a career-high nine assists.

The victory was only the fourth on the road at Davidson in the all-time series, which the Wildcats now lead 53-14. The game was first nonconference game between the former Southern Conference rivals since 1957-58. Charleston is now in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Davidson (4-10) dropped its fifth straight game. Brian Sullivan scored 13 points and Tom Droney 12 for the Wildcats.

Trailing 44-43 with 13 minutes left, Charleston used a 19-4 run to take a 62-48 lead. After that, Davidson got as close as seven.
