Exhibit honors county art teachers

Esther Short: Artwork by a handful of Clark County art teachers is featured in a special show on display through March in the county’s Sixth Floor Gallery. The Clark County Arts Commission exhibit highlights the creativity of seven elementary, middle and high school art teachers throughout the county. The pieces on display represent a variety of different styles, including painting, collage and printmaking. The show premiered Feb. 1 with a reception in the gallery located on the sixth floor of the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. Hudson’s Bay High School students performed music during the opening celebration. The exhibit is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
