Letter: Politicians intrude on private lives

The Columbian
Published: February 19, 2013, 4:00pm

On the one hand, we see conservatives constantly saying we need less government in our lives. On the other hand, we see Sen. Don Benton, R-Vancouver, offering legislation affecting abortion and divorce, making each a little more painful and difficult. When government gets involved in such intimate, private and emotional issues, that’s about as big as government can get.
