HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Violence makes his 3-year-old debut Saturday as the favorite in the Grade 2, $400,000 Fountain of Youth Stakes at Gulfstream Park.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, Violence drew post No. 3 and was made the 9-5 favorite in the field of 11 running 1 1/16 miles.

Regular jockey Javier Castellano will be back aboard Violence for the first time since the colt won the Grade 1, $750,000 CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park by 112 lengths on Dec. 15. Violence won both of his previous starts in New York, including the Grade 2 Nashua Stakes at Aqueduct on Nov. 4.

Kentucky homebred Data Link appears to be the class of nine older horses drawn for Saturday’s Grade 3, $150,000 Canadian Turf Stakes.
