NEW YORK (AP) — Kenneth Ortiz’s putback with 1 second remaining Sunday night gave Wagner a 94-92 Northeast Conference victory over LIU Brooklyn.

Jonathon Williams scored 20 points and Mario Moody 19 for the Seahawks (16-11, 10-6). They each scored 11 in the second half when Wagner scored 56 points, its highest-scoring half this season.

Two consecutive 3-pointers by Dwaun Anderson put Wagner ahead 62-57 with 12:12 remaining after the Blackbirds (15-13, 1-6) led 45-38 at halftime.

Wagner led 88-78 with 2:06 left after a three-point play by Williams, but LIU Brooklyn tied the game at 92 on Jason Brickman’s 3-pointer with 0:13 left.

C.J. Garner scored 22 points, Jamal Olasewere 21 and Brickman 19 for the Blackbirds, whose 86-75 loss to Wagner on Jan. 10 ended their 31-game on-campus winning streak.

After making 9 of 10 from 3-point range in that game, the host Seahawks made 8 of 16 (50 percent) this time.
