Reed, Georgia Southern beat UNC Greensboro 66-60

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — C.J. Reed scored 23 points and Cameron Baskerville posted a double-double to lead Georgia Southern to a 66-60 victory over UNC Greensboro in a Southern Conference game Wednesday night.

Baskerville finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds and Marvin Baynham chipped in 10 points for the Eagles (13-17, 7-10), who won their second straight. Reed made 14 of 14 free throws with nine rebounds.

Trevis Simpson scored 19 points and Derrell Armstrong had 16 for the Spartans (8-20, 6-11), who have lost five of their past six games.

The Eagles outrebounded the Spartans 50-29.

Armstrong made a 3-pointer to tie it 48-48 with 4:41 remaining, but Reed made two foul shots and Baskerville hit a 3-pointer for a 53-48 advantage at the 3:26 mark. Reed hit 6 of 6 and Baskerville 3 of 4 from the line in the final 30 seconds to seal the victory.
