Letter: Intense headlights are hazard

The Columbian
Published: January 6, 2013, 4:00pm

On a recent evening while driving west on McGillivray Boulevard to MacArthur Boulevard, I encountered four oncoming cars with super-bright, high-intensity headlights, two of which were almost blinding. After passing one, I realized there was a bicycle rider immediately to my right, which I never saw because of the blinding headlights.

Even more disturbing was that a police car was following me and did nothing about these dangerous headlights. Please, Vancouver Police Department, do something about the proliferation of these and other off-road blinding headlights.
