BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Isaac Sosa netted 18 points on four 3-pointers as Canisius downed Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival Siena 76-44 Saturday.

Sosa was 6-of-11 shooting and attempted nine 3-pointers. The rest of the Golden Griffins (12-7, 5-3) were just 4 of 18 from beyond the arc.

Canisius’ Chris Manhertz added 12 points and 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the year, while Jordan Heath and Alshwan Hymes had 11 apiece.

The Golden Griffins led 7-6 when Billy Baron’s jumper sparked a 17-4 Canisius scoring run. Baron capped a 10-0 run minutes later for a 39-16 advantage, and the Golden Griffins built an insurmountable 42-19 halftime advantage.

Rich Audu scored 11 points for Siena (4-15, 2-6), which lost its second straight since a two-game winning streak snapped an 11-game skid.

Canisius improved to 8-1 at home this season, and got retribution for a 57-54 defeat at Siena on Jan. 11.
