LONDON (AP) — Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has attended the start of his son’s trial on charges of sexual assault and voyeurism.

Anton Rodgers, who plays for Brighton, is standing trial at the Old Bailey in London with teammates Lewis Dunk and George Barker, as well as Steve Cook, who left the second-tier club to join Bournemouth.

All four men deny charges of sexual assault and voyeurism in July 2011 after a night out in the south-coast city of Brighton.

The prosecution alleges the players took advantage of the unconscious state of a woman, who was 19 at the time, to commit sex acts and take pictures of her.

The woman said she reported the incident to police six months later after another Brighton player hinted at putting the images on YouTube.
