EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New York Giants’ headquarters in the Meadowlands sports complex is getting a new name.

The Giants announced late Wednesday afternoon they and Timex have mutually terminated their partnership. Earlier in the day, the three-time Super Bowl champions announced they would introduce a major new sponsor on Thursday morning.

Timex Group USA, Inc., and the Giants entered into an agreement four years ago and the NFL team’s headquarters was named the Timex Performance Center.

Whoever gets the naming rights will get major exposure this season with the Super Bowl being played at MetLife Stadium, the facility co-owned by the Giants and Jets and located a couple of football fields from team headquarters.

Giants president John Mara said the separation with Timex was amicable.
