The Columbia Springs environmental education center is seeking volunteers to help remove invasive plants near its 100-acre property later this month.

Workers will gather at 9 a.m. June 22 to remove English ivy from Columbia Grove, an annex property off Evergreen Highway in east Vancouver. The event continues to 1 p.m.

All ages are welcome, including children under 14 with parental supervision, and those under 16 with parental permission. Participants should bring sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, according to Columbia Springs.

Participants will gather at 9 a.m. at Columbia Grove, 3412 S.E. Riverwood Court in Vancouver. Volunteers can sign up or get more information by calling Columbia Springs at 360-882-0936, ext. 230, or sending an email to intern@columbiasprings.org.
