La Center has completed nearly $500,000 worth of upgrades to Holley Park and will hold a grand opening ceremony from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today.
Vancouver-based Colf Landscape Construction completed the project ahead of schedule this month. The work included adding an area for skateboarders, a splash pad and an bigger playground.
With the additions, Holley Park “might well be the most versatile park in the state of Washington and has something for everybody,” La Center Mayor Jim Irish said.
The park already has a baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, a community center and an area for picnicking.
The city is inviting the public to attend the ceremony.
