Food cart pods hard to grow in Clark County

Insiders say property owners, businesses often underestimate cost, difficulties associated with carts

While food cart pods are plentiful and popular in Portland, they haven’t achieved the same level of success in Clark County despite early enthusiasm.

Some food cart pods have fizzled out, while others have encountered regulatory obstacles. Food cart operators say it can be difficult to attract enough customers to cover the cost of running their businesses.
