The new pet specialty store Unleashed by Petco will hold a grand opening this Saturday and Sunday at the store, located at 6603 E. Mill Plain Blvd.

Activities will include complimentary samples of dog treats and food from the pet bakery; complimentary dog-friendly ice cream from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; pet adoptions; a free tote bag and one pound of treats with a purchase, while supplies last; and free $10 gift cards for the first 50 customers who sign up for Pals Rewards.

The store will host several neighborhood gatherings throughout the year, including pet adoption events. Such activities include Pug-a-Palooza, local dog meet-ups and other contests and social gatherings.

The Central Vancouver Heights store is Petco’s first Unleashed store in Washington state. The company launched the brand in 2009.
