Barneys keep boosting recreation for seniors

Central Park — Senior recreation programs of all sorts have gotten a boost from the charitable Parks Foundation of Clark County, which distributed $31,014 this month to Luepke Senior Center activities via the Theodore A. Barney Fund at the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington. Theodore and Janet Barney were Luepke regulars for years, and they left a bequest to the Parks Foundation to be dedicated to senior recreation and enrichment. The money will pay for trips, aquatics and fitness, and other fun stuff for seniors at Vancouver’s neighboring Marshall and Luepke community centers.
