I think it is time to hold the administration of school districts accountable for budget shortfalls.
Every year we hear about the millions of dollars needed to keep the level of service, and the threats of cutting teachers, sports programs and the arts.
Chief financial officers around the country are responsible to make money or at least break even, but yet the school districts, time and time again, miss the mark.
Managing millions of dollars and thousands of people is not easy. Maybe it is time to kick the teachers with advanced degrees to the curb and put business people in their place.
