A paving project on Northeast 137th/138th Avenue between Northeast 28th and 39th streets is scheduled to start today and continue through Tuesday, weather permitting.

Drivers should expect detours, and signs will be posted.

Nutter Corporation of Vancouver, the lowest responsive bidder for the project, will work with residents within the temporary closure, according to a city news release. Evergreen Public Schools, C-Tran, emergency service providers and Waste Connections will also make adjustments to accommodate the project.

Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians are asked to drive slowly through the construction zone and be alert to traffic changes, construction equipment and safety of workers. To avoid delays, drivers are encouraged to take another route outside the construction zone if at all possible.
