A driver from Amboy ran a red light Friday night on Highway 503 in Battle Ground, causing a three-car collision, officials said.

Around 11:30 p.m. Dakota Phillips, 23, of Amboy was heading north on 503 at Mile Post 9 in her 2005 Ford F150 pickup, when she ran a red light at Northeast 244th Street. She crashed into a 1990 Toyota Cressida, driven by Capariel Cass, 24, of Ridgefield, who was westbound on Northeast 224th Street, according to the Washington State Patrol. The Ford pickup spun around and struck a 1986 Toyota Camry that was stopped on southbound 503 for the traffic light.

Cass and two boys riding with her, ages 2 and 5, were injured and transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, the State Patrol said. Cass’s Cressida was totalled.

Phillips and the driver of the Camry, Jakob Arnold, 19, of Amboy, were not injured.

Phillips was cited for failing to obey a traffic signal.

Drugs or alcohol were not involved in the crash, the State Patrol said.
