Detectives with the Children’s Justice Center arrested a man in Vancouver Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of raping a 5-year-old relative.

The suspect, Christopher R. Warren, 33, was located at a house in the 9200 block of Northeast 14th Way, according to Vancouver Police.

No other details were available about when or where the assault occurred, but the Justice Center is investing this case.

Regional SWAT team members served a search warrant at the residence around 3:20 p.m. Warren was arrested on suspected first-degree rape of a child. He was booked into the Clark County Jail.

KATU reports that Warren is a Beaverton Police Department officer currently on paid administrative leave while he’s being investigated for food stamp fraud.
