ALOHA, Ore. — An 11-year-old boy and his parents have been rescued from a burning townhome in Aloha and sent to the hospital.

KGW-TV reported the mother was alert and talking Thursday morning, and the father and child required CPR. No condition reports were immediately available.

Firefighters say it appeared the fire started in the garage, and fire and smoke trapped the family.

A deputy and a neighbor tried to reach them with a ladder but that proved too dangerous.

Firefighters brought the woman down from the third floor, and then found the man and boy inside.

Firefighters said the blaze was out within 20 minutes, and they were investigating to determine the cause.
