A 17-year-old girl was injured Monday afternoon when she was struck by a vehicle in Battle Ground.

The teen was walking at Northeast First Street just east of North Parkway Avenue, where there are no sidewalks, when she was struck by the vehicle. The incident was reported to 911 at 12:30 p.m. Paramedics treated her at the site of the crash, said Battalion Chief Tim Dawdy, spokesman for Clark County Fire & Rescue. She was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.
