Rockies co-owner Monfort arrested on DUI charge

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — Colorado Rockies co-owner Charlie Monfort has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.

The Greeley Tribune reports (http://tinyurl.com/lczccvq ) Monfort was arrested late Monday in Windsor, about 60 miles north of Denver.

Windsor Police Sgt. Gerald Beers confirmed the DUI arrest but said he had no details.

A Rockies spokesman did not immediately respond to an email.

Monfort was released from the Weld County jail in Greeley on Tuesday on a personal recognizance bond.
