Five Star Momma wins Big A’s Chip Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Five Star Momma led wire-to-wire in the $95,000 Chip Stakes for fillies and mares Wednesday at Aqueduct.

Jose Ortiz rode for trainer Jena Antonucci as Five Star Momma beat Cape Cod Carol by 214 lengths in the four-horse race. The 4-year-old posted her fourth win in 15 races, paying $2.50 and $2.10 as the 1-5 choice. The time was 1:10.81 for six furlongs on the fast track.

Cape Cod Carol returned $2.10. Love Contract was third, followed by Kiss in the Forest.

There was no show wagering.
