Jonesy Boy wins Big A’s Queens County Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Jonesy Boy dashed through the snow at Aqueduct to edge Don Dulce by a neck in the $98,000 Queens County Stakes on Saturday.

Rajiv Maragh was aboard for trainer Kelly Breen as the lightly raced 4-year-old got his first stakes victory, improving to 4-2-0 in six starts. He ran 1 1/8 miles in 1:52.02 on the track rated fast.

Jonesy Boy paid $15.60, $6.20 and $4.10. Don Dulce returned $4.30 and $3.10 while Spa City Fever paid $4.90 to show.

Silver and Onions, the 8-5 favorite, finished last in the five-horse field.

Jose Ortiz was the riding star of the card with four wins.
