Burnt Bridge Creek — The months-long mystery of the paper May Day “baskets” that popped up on some homes in the Burnt Bridge Creek neighborhood has been solved. In June, residents along 148th Avenue were surprised to come home and find spring-themed flower displays on their doors. The neighborhood association recently learned it was two friends from Burnt Bridge Creek Elementary who made the crafty gifts. The girls originally made the baskets for local seniors, but after that project they had leftover materials which they used to make more presents for their appreciative neighbors.
