Kentucky announces 4 signees for 2014 class

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky has signed forwards Trey Lyles and Karl Towns and guards Devin Booker and Tyler Ulis.

Scouting sites have rated the 6-foot-10 Lyles among the top 10 of the 2014 class. The two-time Indianapolis player of the year averaged 17.9 points and 12.7 rebounds last season.

The 6-5 Booker was Mississippi’s Gatorade player of the year and is rated from 18th to 31st by various web sites. Ulis, a 5-8 point guard from Chicago Heights, Ill., is ranked among the top six at his position after averaging 21.9 points and 4.8 assists.

Towns is ranked as one of top five post players and has played for Wildcats coach John Calipari and assistant Orlando Antigua on the Dominican Republic National Team.
