CHICAGO (AP) — Center Al Jefferson has been ruled out for Charlotte’s game at Chicago due to a bone bruise in his right ankle.

Jefferson has missed each of the Bobcats’ last three games due to the injury. The veteran is averaging 15 points and 8.7 rebounds in three games in his first season with Charlotte.

Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said he hopes Jefferson can play Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets, but he will more likely play Friday against the Phoenix Suns.
