CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Chad Frazier scored 32 points and UAB bounced back from a double-overtime defeat to No. 19 New Mexico with an 87-74 victory over Nebraska at the Charleston Classic on Friday.

Frazier reached the 30-point level for a second straight game, notching a career-high 34 in the 97-94 loss to the Lobos. UAB (4-1) will face either Georgia or Temple in Sunday’s fifth-place game.

Nebraska (3-2) will try and avoid an 0-3 run in the eight-team tournament against the Georgia-Temple loser.

If any team had a right to be winded and worn out, it was the Blazers who held leads in the final minute of regulation and overtime before losing their tournament opener. But UAB broke open a game tied at 50-all with a 25-17 run.

Fahro Alihodzic scored 16 points while Rod Rucker had 13 points and 10 rebounds for UAB.

Terran Petteway led Nebraska with 21 points.
