FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — Max Jacobsen scored 15 points and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds to lead Northern Arizona to an 83-59 win over NAIA San Diego Christian in the Lumberjacks’ home opener.

The win snaps a three-game losing streak for NAU (2-3) — falling to Texas Tech, USC and Loyola Marymount on the road.

Jacobsen, the Lumberjacks’ lone senior, came into the game averaging 18 points per game. Christopher Martin contributed 12 points in his first collegiate game and Kris Yanku and Quinton Upshur, who has scored in double figures in each game this season, each had 11 points.

Derek Dickerson led all scorers with 28 points for San Diego Christian, a National Christian College Athletic Association power, shooting 9 of 18 from the floor and 8 of 15 from 3-point range. Jhoan Camacho added 10 points.
