Bingle scores big in yoga

The Columbian
Published:

Fisher’s Landing East — Nineteen yogis from all over Washington, including eight from this area, turned out for the regional Washington State Yoga Competition on Nov. 9 at Bikram Hot Yoga Vancouver, a studio on the east side of town. In addition to the participants there were 150 spectators, according to studio owner Erika Lasee. The yogis’ challenge was to perform five basic poses plus two of their own choosing in three minutes. While winning and losing aren’t really what yoga is all about, the folks who scored top points will proceed on to national championships. Among the winners was Vancouver’s own Bonnie Bingle, who took first place in the Master’s (55 and older) division.
