Vancouver transportation forum moves to bigger venue

When state legislators travel to Vancouver to talk transportation policy on Monday evening, they’ll meet at the Washington Department of Transportation’s district office at 11018 N.E. 51st Circle, not at the downtown library.

The legislators moved the venue to accommodate a larger audience. Earlier stops on their 10-city transportation tour drew standing-room-only crowds, and many residents were eager to discuss a transportation revenue package, and any transportation reforms, that could come up during the next legislative session.

The town hall is 6 to 9 p.m. and will be hosted by Sens. Tracey Eide, D-Federal Way, and Curtis King, R-Yakima. They co-chair the Senate Transportation Committee. Residents who can’t attend the event can submit comments online at http://www.senatetranspofeedbackforum.org.
