KELSO — Cowlitz County Prosecutor Sue Baur says she plans to extradite John Wayne Thomson from California to stand trial in the slaying of Longview resident Lori Hamm seven years ago.

The Daily News reports Thomson was convicted Wednesday in San Bernardino, Calif., of a fatal stabbing that was part of a 2006 crime spree.

Thomson is suspected of killing 73-year-old James Ehrgott of Spokane and the 36-year-old Longview woman before fleeing to California.
