The Pink Phoenix dragon boat team comprised entirely of breast cancer survivors is hosting an open house for prospective members.

The Portland-based team has about 85 members, 15 of whom live in Clark County.

Breast cancer survivors interested in learning more about the team are invited to an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center, Building 2 auditorium, 1040 N.W. 22nd Ave.

Survivors are invited to meet team members and the coach, review the 2013 season, learn about the winter fitness program and hear plans for the 2014 international breast cancer survivor regatta.

Questions and reservations can be sent to membership@pinkphoenix.org.
