Vancouver’s Hickey Marine takes on dredging project

Vancouver-based Hickey Marine Enterprises will conduct dredging work for the Port of Kalama to maintain room needed for large cargo ships, the port said in a news release.

The company will do so under an $857,367 contract recently approved by port commissioners. The company will remove materials in front of the Temco grain terminal at the port. The project will begin in November and is expected to wrap up before Jan. 1.
