PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police in Portland have arrested an 18-year-old man in an Oct. 11 double shooting at a light rail station that fatally wounded a 15-year-old boy and injured a man.
Sgt. Chuck Lovell said Silvano Velasquez was booked Thursday for investigation of murder, attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon and assault.
Police who responded to a late night shooting at the Holgate Transit Station found a 22-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.
By the steps to the platform, officers found 15-year-old Abukar Madey, who had been shot in the head. He died two days later.
