Apparent suicide closes downtown street

Evergreen Blvd. closed between Main, Broadway

East Evergreen Boulevard was closed for nearly five hours Wednesday between Main Street and Broadway in downtown Vancouver after a reported suicide inside a pickup truck.

The incident was reported at 3:08 p.m. at 112 E. Evergreen Blvd. Police cordoned off a white Ford pickup with yellow police tape.

The county medical examiner was called to investigate the death.

Police said the person was a “young” man.
