Battle Ground accident blamed on deer

A wayward deer was blamed for causing a Battle Ground accident Sunday morning.

The Washington State Patrol said Denise L. Still was southbound on state Highway 503 just north of Battle Ground when a vehicle on her left moved into her lane to avoid a deer. That caused Still to swerve her 2008 Lincoln MKX to the right and hit a guardrail, the patrol said. The name of the other driver was not available.

A report indicated Still was taken to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, but she was not listed as a patient there Sunday night.
