PORTLAND — Nordstrom announced that it will bring its mini Topshop and Topman boutiques to its Washington Square location.

The upscale department store chain rolled out its partnership with the UK-based retailer last fall. The exclusive partnership helps set Nordstrom apart with a strategy that a number of retailers are adopting.

The addition at Washington Square is one of 28 new Topshop stores in Nordstrom locations this year, along with eight additional Topman Suiting departments nationwide.

The new Washington Square boutiques are expected to open in late September.

T.J. Maxx also announced it will open its new Jantzen Beach store on Sunday, and will distribute free reusable bags to the first 1,000 shoppers at the 8 a.m. opening.

The 25,500-square-foot store will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.
