Landover-Sharmel — The Evergreen School District Foundation’s annual “Stuff the Bus” donation drive on Aug. 14 brought in enough school supplies to fill about 200 backpacks for students. The foundation set up two drop-off spots in town: outside Spanky’s Legendary Consignment and the Fisher’s Landing Burgerville. Not only did residents give enough school supplies to benefit about 200 kids in need, but donors also gifted nearly $1,000 to the cause.
