Non-league football: Washougal 35, Fort Vancouver 0

Bobby Jacobs ran for three early touchdowns and finished with 226 rushing yards as the Panthers improved to 3-0 by controlling the line of scrimmage against Fort Vancouver.

Washougal outgained Fort Vancouver 467 to 30 in net offense at Kiggins Bowl. The Panthers ran for 437 yards.

Jacobs scored the first three touchdowns of the game. His 10-yard run capped a 10-play, 69-yard drive to open the game. Later in the first quarter he scored from a yard out to cap a 65-yard, six-play drive.

Washougal scored two more touchdowns in the second quarter. Jacobs scored on a 40-yard run around the left side, then Brandon Casteel scored on a 1-yard run. That touchdown came after Jacobs took a pitch and threw a pass that Garrett Duey caught for 33 yards.

Washougal ran 67 offensive plays to only 33 for Fort Vancouver (0-3). Only seven of the Panthers’ plays were passes.
