Northfield — Boy Scout Jeffrey Niquette’s project to paint address numbers on the curbs of each residence in the Northfield neighborhood was a success, resulting in a $300 donation to his Troop 462. Northfield Neighborhood Association leaders asked Niquette if he would take on the project as part of his efforts to become an Eagle Scout. With equipment and supplies donated by Parkrose Hardware, the scout recently painted long-lasting numbers in front of all 215 homes in the neighborhood. In appreciation for his work, the neighborhood association gifted his troop a bulk of the money they raised in their last two National Night Out raffles.
